Trusscore makes water-resistant PVC wall and ceiling panels that install faster than drywall, and develops smart building materials from its R&D lab in Waterloo, Ontario.
Trusscore develops and manufactures PVC-based wall and ceiling panels intended to replace traditional drywall. The panels are water-resistant, highly durable and low-maintenance, and are built from sustainable PVC formulations combined with nanotechnology. A stated advantage over drywall is installation speed: the panels go up four times faster. They are sold into construction, agricultural facilities, healthcare settings such as hospitals, residential applications including homes and garages, and commercial buildings.
The company's technical work spans material science, nanotechnology, sustainable PVC formulations, smart materials, antimicrobial and antiviral surface technology, and fire safety materials. Its research and development is conducted from a dedicated lab at the Communitech innovation hub in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and Trusscore maintains an R&D partnership with the University of Waterloo's Institute for Nanotechnology.
Alongside its current panel range, Trusscore is developing next-generation building materials. These smart materials are designed to change colour on command, resist microbes and viruses, and improve fire safety; none has a commercial launch date published. The company states its aim as changing the way the world builds interior walls and ceilings, one panel at a time, with sustainability pursued through its PVC formulations.
