Pacific National Exhibition

Non-profit operator of entertainment, amusement park and event facilities at Hastings Park in Vancouver, including Playland and the PNE Fair.

The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) is a non-profit and statutory organisation based at Hastings Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, where it operates entertainment, amusement park and event facilities. Founded in 1910, when Prime Minister Sir Wilfrid Laurier opened "The Industrial Exhibition", the PNE has run continuously for more than 115 years and now welcomes over 2 million people through its gates annually across four main activity streams.

Technical work at Hastings Park spans entertainment venue operations, amusement park operations, event production and programming, and facility maintenance and park care. The sites involved include Playland, a historic 15-acre amusement park with an iconic wooden roller coaster that draws 400,000 guests a year; the PNE Fair, a 15-day summer fair attracting more than 700,000 visitors; Pacific Coliseum, a historic indoor arena; and the Freedom Mobile Arch, an open-air entertainment venue. The year-round portfolio also covers concerts, trade shows, film productions and cultural events, and the PNE is home to PWHL Vancouver's Goldeneyes.

As a statutory non-profit, the organisation states a mandate to invest in the social fabric of the community. It lists core values of Enthusiasm, Excellence and Evolution and describes itself as British Columbia's largest employer of youth. Operations are concentrated at Hastings Park in Vancouver.
