Staff support services reaching audiences coast to coast to coast as well as distribution of content internationally. Roles sit alongside editorial and production functions in a bilingual workplace, supporting output aimed at English- and French-speaking Canadians alike.

The organisation's mandate is rooted in the Broadcasting Act, and its stated purpose as a crown corporation is to inform, enlighten and connect Canadians and to strengthen Canadian culture. This includes reflecting Canada's diverse communities and perspectives and serving underrepresented communities alongside the general public.
