Humber River Health

Humber River Health is a healthcare organisation in Toronto, Ontario, operating a hospital facility that opened on October 18, 2015 and is recognised as North America's first fully digital hospital. The organisation serves a community of over 850,000 residents in North West Toronto, delivering comprehensive medical services spanning cancer care, cardiology, surgery, mental health, maternal and child care, kidney care and medical imaging.

Technical operations are central to the hospital's design. Humber River Health runs the first-ever Canadian Hospital Command Centre, a facility that manages hospital capacity and operations through technology and has created capacity equivalent to 35 new beds. It was the first hospital in Canada to acquire a Da Vinci surgical robot for robotic-assisted surgery and the first to acquire the ROSA knee system for robotic-assisted knee surgery. Its technical domains include digital hospital technology, surgical robotics, hospital command centre operations, medical imaging, health information technology and clinical technology integration.

The organisation is formally affiliated with the University of Toronto and Queen's University as a community academic hospital and participates in the North West Toronto Ontario Health Team.
