Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec

Inuit-majority owned cooperative federation (est. 1967) providing IT, payroll, accounting, logistics, fuel distribution and other services to 14 Nunavik communities in northern Quebec.

Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (FCNQ-Ilagiisaq) is an Inuit-majority owned cooperative federation founded in 1967. It provides economic, social and operational support to the 14 Inuit communities of Nunavik, in northern Quebec. Its technical work spans IT services, payroll processing, accounting, cable television access, and bulk fuel storage and distribution logistics, alongside construction services delivered throughout the region's remote communities.

The federation's activities are unusually broad for a single organisation. Through its member cooperatives and subsidiaries it handles the distribution of merchandise and fresh food to remote northern communities, retail and financial services, postal outlets, hotels and adventure tourism camps, and the national and international marketing of Inuit art. These operations require logistics, technical and administrative capability in some of the most isolated settlements in Canada.

FCNQ operates on a cooperative federation model, guided by the principle of Atautsikut - "working for collective progress without leaving anyone behind". It functions as an economic and social anchor for Nunavik's communities, with a stated focus on the economic empowerment of Nunavimmiuts and the preservation of Inuit culture and heritage. Nearly six decades after its founding, it remains Inuit-majority owned.

Geographic presence covers Nunavik and northern Quebec, with Inuit art marketed nationally and internationally. The organisation's website is fcnq.ca.
