Stella-Jones Inc. manufactures infrastructure products used in electrical distribution and transmission and in the operation and maintenance of railway transportation systems across North America. Headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, the company is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and operates a network of manufacturing and distribution facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

The company's production work spans several technical areas: wood treatment and preservation, industrial timber manufacturing, steel pole and lattice tower manufacturing, and coal tar-based product manufacturing. Its product range includes treated wood and steel utility poles and steel lattice towers supplied to major North American electrical utilities; treated wood railway ties and timbers supplied to Class 1, short line and commercial railroad operators; industrial timbers for railway bridges, crossings and construction; and marine and foundation pilings.

A further part of the business is premium treated residential lumber and accessories, manufactured and distributed to Canadian and American retailers for outdoor applications, with a significant portion of the residential lumber business serving Canadian customers through the national manufacturing and distribution network.
