LaPrairie Group is a 100% Canadian family-owned group of companies delivering heavy industry solutions across Western Canada and the Northeastern United States. Its operations span crane rental and heavy lift, heavy hauling, highway and bridge maintenance, civil construction, fleet maintenance, and industrial mineral mining and distribution. The group comprises seven subsidiaries: LaPrairie Crane, Northland Fleet Services, Entrec Alberta, Capstan Hauling, LaPrairie Works, LaPrairie Works Oilfield Services, and Canadian Silica Industries.

LaPrairie Crane is described as one of Canada's largest and most established crane rental companies, operating a fleet with capacities from 5 to 600 tons. The fleet includes all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain and tower cranes, and the division carries out super-heavy engineered lifts. Heavy hauling and extra-heavy load transport are handled through Entrec Alberta and Capstan Hauling, while LaPrairie Works covers highway and bridge maintenance and civil construction.

The group's technical work spans heavy lift engineering, crane operations and rigging, oversized load transport, road and bridge asset maintenance, fleet servicing, and frac sand processing and distribution through Canadian Silica Industries, which supplies the energy sector. LaPrairie Works Oilfield Services provides further support to oil and gas operations. The team is described as having decades of combined operational experience across these disciplines.

Roles with the group are drawn from skilled trades and heavy equipment disciplines - crane operation and rigging, heavy haul transport, road and bridge construction and maintenance, mechanical fleet servicing, and industrial mineral processing - working across multiple operating sites in Canada and the Northeastern United States.
