Knoll, Inc. is part of MillerKnoll, a global collective of design brands built on Herman Miller and Knoll. The collective designs and manufactures furniture and design products for the corporate workplace, healthcare, education and residential sectors, operating worldwide. Its stated approach is to design and manufacture products in the most sustainable way in order to improve people's lives.

The collective brings together 12 brands: Herman Miller and Knoll, the two foundational names, alongside DatesWeiser, DWR Collection (Design Within Reach), Geiger, HAY, Muuto, NaughtOne, Colebrook Bosson Saunders, Maharam, Spinneybeck and Filzfelt. Between them, the group represents over 100 years of design research and innovation.

Technical work spans design research and innovation, furniture and interior product design, materials design, and sustainable product design and manufacturing.
