ITT Inc. is a diversified manufacturer of engineered critical components and customized technology solutions for the transportation, industrial, aerospace and defense, and energy markets. Founded in 1920 and originating in telecommunications, the company operates through three segments: Industrial Process, Motion Technologies, and Connect and Control Technologies. Its work spans centrifugal and twin-screw pump engineering, engineered valves, friction materials and brake technology, shock absorption and vibration control, and harsh-environment connectors and control components.

Products are sold under a set of established brands. The Industrial Process segment includes Goulds Pumps, a pump brand with more than 175 years of history, alongside Bornemann, Svanehøj and a line of engineered valves. Motion Technologies covers Friction Technologies brake pads, the KONI and Axtone shock absorber and impact component brands. Connect and Control Technologies comprises ITT Cannon, Enidine, Aerospace Controls and kSARIA, which supply connectors, control components and related products for aircraft, defense systems and other demanding applications.

Skilled technical work is central to the business. ITT employs more than 1,280 engineers and holds over 1,700 active global patents. Manufacturing is carried out at approximately 51 locations, with operations in roughly 40 countries and sales in more than 125.
