INNIO Group designs, manufactures and services high-performance power systems under the Jenbacher and Waukesha brands. Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Munich, the company employs more than 5,000 people worldwide and operates three primary production facilities: Jenbach in Austria, Welland in Canada, and Waukesha, Wisconsin, in the United States. Its installed base spans roughly 100 countries.

The engineering work centres on gas engine power systems and distributed generation. The Jenbacher portfolio covers a power output range of 200 kW to 10 MW; Waukesha engines serve power and gas compression applications. Beyond engines, the group supplies combined heat and power (CHP) systems, hydrogen-ready and renewable gas solutions, and the myplant digital platform for monitoring and operating power systems. Technical domains include grid stabilization, microgrids, industrial energy and data centre power.

INNIO was formed in 2018 through an acquisition involving the private equity firm Advent International. Its stated focus is on helping customers in industries and communities reduce their carbon footprints while maintaining reliable energy supply, with particular emphasis on hydrogen-ready and renewable gas technologies. Applications served include data centres, microgrids, grid stabilization, industrial energy and gas compression.
