Core Laboratories is an international provider of proprietary and patented laboratory-based oilfield services and testing technologies for the oil and gas industry. Its work centres on reservoir description and production enhancement: core and fluid characterization, reservoir characterization and asset evaluation on one side; well perforating and completions, stimulation laboratory testing and related services on the other.

The company reports its activities through two business segments. Reservoir Description covers petroleum services, core and fluid characterization and asset evaluation. Production Enhancement operates through Owen Oil Tools, ProTechnics and Stim Lab. Saybolt, an independent inspection business established in 1898, provides laboratory analyses, field inspections and monitoring services for crude oil and petroleum products.

Core Laboratories operates in more than 50 countries across six continents, with presence in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. Its technical scope spans petroleum laboratory services, reservoir characterization and independent inspection and laboratory analysis, serving customers across the oil and gas, energy and petroleum inspection and testing sectors.
