Canadian Base Operators provides facilities management, logistical support, and turnkey aerodrome management across Canada, including remote research and surveillance sites in the oil sands and the Arctic.
Canadian Base Operators (CBO) is a Canadian provider of customized facilities management and logistical support services. The company's work spans hard and soft facilities management, airport services, and turnkey management of aerodromes across Canada, with particular expertise in running remote research and surveillance sites. Headquartered in Collingwood, Ontario, CBO has been in operation for over three decades and serves clients in the defence, aviation, energy, and research and surveillance sectors.
Much of the company's work takes place in demanding conditions, from the Alberta oil sands to the Canadian Arctic. Sites are characterised by harsh climates, seasonal access constraints, limited energy supply, and reliance on airstrip or helipad access. Operations are designed around safety-first principles, and the company states that it maintains uncompromising safety standards while providing superior training to employees and equipping them to meet environmental challenges.
CBO describes itself as a performance-based contractor that partners closely with clients for the long term, with an emphasis on operational flexibility and service delivery. Its service portfolio covers comprehensive hard (physical and technical) and soft (support) facilities management for specialised facilities, alongside airport services and end-to-end aerodrome management.
